What garden do you grow?

Lexi was a bit confused recently. She thought that everyone grows vegetables. We discussed that most people grow flowers and the different types of gardens. It was great fun (and very educational) looking at pictures of some famous gardens.

This got me thinking about the different types of vegetable gardens.

What is the best kind of vegetable garden for children?
For us this is definitely what I call and snacking garden. What's better than a child being able to pick, wash and eat their own snacks? As children we would swim, jump on the trampoline and eat tomatoes off the vine when we were peckish.

Some of our recent tomatoes

Here are a few Lexi tested and approved ideas for a snacking garden:

Carrots (a variety of colours makes carrots so much more exciting)
Tomatoes
Lettuce
Spinach
Green beans
Snap peas
Strawberries
Mint (technically not a snack but she loves it)

What kind of garden do you grow? Lexi and I would love to hear what vegetables you grow in your garden.

Happy gardening!
Candice & Lexi
